Naturopathic Consultations

An initial consultation begins with a comprehensive health history, physical exams as appropriate and lab testing if needed. The initial appointment is 1 hour which allows time for you to discuss all your concerns and questions. Evidence-based diet and lifestyle recommendations are part of each treatment plan. I often recommend botanical medicine, which offers a gentle and effective treatment for many health concerns.

Nutrition

Nutrition is foundational to health and healing. Dietary imbalances, nutritional excesses or deficiencies, and food intolerances have been associated with many health concerns. Nutritional consultation helps you recognize how your diet is impacting your health and how to make impactful positive changes.

Botanical Medicine

Botanical medicine is the practice of using medicinal plants and extracts to improve overall health and treat illness. While botanical medicine is powerful, it can also be quite gentle, making it suitable for all age groups. There are a variety of ways to use herbs for medicinal use, including teas, tinctures, decoctions, and extracts.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine that involves inserting sterile, thin needles into particular points on the body. According to the Meridian theory, our bodies have pathways, or “meridians,” in which energy (Qi) flows. Optimal health occurs when the meridians are balanced and symptoms are resolved, which is the goal of acupuncture treatment. Dry needling acupuncture may also be used to address muscle knots and trigger points.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Cosmetic acupuncture, also known as facial rejuvenation acupuncture, offers a natural and gentle way to rejuvenate the skin and decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. After facial massage, jade rolling, and gua sha, thin dermal needles are inserted along fine lines and wrinkles to stimulate collagen production.

Lab Testing

Naturopathic doctors can order most regular lab tests, such as a metabolic panel, cholesterol panel, ferritin, b12, vitamin D, etc. Functional lab testing is also offered, including the DUTCH hormone test, food sensitivity testing, and microbiome testing (GI Map).

Cosmetic Injections

Cosmetic Injections are non-surgical cosmetic injectable treatments that soften facial lines and wrinkles for up to four months. Cosmetic Injections can be used to treat vertical lines that appear between the eyebrows, forehead, and around the eyes.

Nutrient Injections

Nutrient injections are an alternative to oral supplements that are quick and highly absorbed. The injections offered are B12, B complex, lipotropic, and adrenal support formula.
